F0 Hardware Lab
One race. More than one way to steer.
See what works now, what is being tested, and how F0 is growing from everyday controls into a full racing setup.
Controls
Start simple. Add more ways to race.
Keyboard is the baseline. Gamepads, motion controls, wheels, pedals, and racing rigs extend the same F0 experience as testing progresses.
| Input | Current experience | Status | What comes next |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keyboard | Steer, brake, boost, restart, and recover | Available | Keyboard controls are available in Foundry. |
| Gamepad | Choose a build and control the lap | In testing | Gamepad input is available; more controllers need testing. |
| Phone motion | An early steering experiment where the browser allows it | Exploring | Comfort, permission, and browser behavior still need wider testing. |
| Wheel / pedals | Wheel and pedal mapping with the current F0 control model | In testing | Named-device support will follow recorded compatibility results. |
| Racing rig / live data | Current in-house integration and beta testing | In-house beta testing | Public access and compatibility details will follow the in-house test cycle. |
Compatibility
Real hardware. Clear expectations.
When F0 adds a controller to the list, players will see what was tested, what works, and what still needs attention.
Bring your setup
Use the same core steering, braking, boost, and recovery across the controls F0 supports.
Complete the lap
A setup earns support by carrying a racer cleanly from launch through finish and retry.
Know before you play
Compatibility notes will call out tested setups, available controls, and any limits.
Input accessibility
More controls should mean more choice.
Keyboard stays first-class. Gamepads, motion controls, wheels, and rigs should extend the same race, not lock anyone out.
- Remappable controls and sensitivity are part of the plan.
- Recovery assist should stay optional, clear, and easy to change.
- Motion, camera, audio, and performance settings should work independently.
- If a device disconnects, F0 should fall back clearly and safely.
